Double-flange reducers are pipe fittings used to connect pipes of different diameters, achieving a transition between pipe diameters. However, socket-type and threaded pipe fittings have relatively limited connection methods and applications. Compared to some flexible connection fittings, they offer significant structural stability advantages.
Wide Range of Applications
Wide pressure range: Double-flange reducers are suitable for applications ranging from low-pressure water supply and drainage systems to high-pressure petrochemical pipelines. Different pressure levels can be met by selecting flanges, bolts, and gaskets corresponding to these pressure ratings. Some plastic reducers, such as PVC reducers, are only suitable for low-pressure, room-temperature water supply and drainage applications.
Strong Media Adaptability: They can accommodate a variety of media, including water, steam, oil, and corrosive media. Double flange reducers are manufactured using the appropriate material (such as carbon steel, stainless steel, or alloy steel) based on the media's characteristics. In contrast, some specialized pipe fittings, such as ceramic-lined composite pipe fittings, while offering excellent corrosion and wear resistance, are limited in their application and come at a higher cost.
